The Days, The Hours, The Moments: Day 59 ~ Gracious! The Day Ran Away With Me!

Gracious Me! What a day!

I had so much I had to get done today that I woke up at 6 so anxious I was practically coming out of my skin. I finally took a pill to help calm down, swabbed lavender oil on, read for awhile, went back to sleep and then didn’t wake up until 10! I never sleep that late anymore and it was not a good start to what was already going to be a very busy day. I got Pugsley out, fed him, made coffee, and hit the ground running, so to speak.

I had 10 phone calls to make. Calls about post hurricane things, tree people, fence repair people, my garage door is on the fritz and I had to call someone about that, Charity Care about my recent hospital bill, the vet to make an appointment for Pugsley, and the list went on and on. I had to go out today for groceries at Costco and I had to go to the post office. As I’m not going out much especially with my leg it was a lot to do but it had to be done.

It was 1:30 before I finished all my calls and I threw on clothes, walked Pugsley, and headed out. I hadn’t even eaten since my coffee (Mind, I have a bulletproof coffee and it stays with you awhile!). The thing is I didn’t have all day to lollygag around because Noni is coming over for an evening we’ve had planned since last week that I am very excited about. We are going to have dinner and then make keto hot chocolate with whipped cream and watch White Christmas. We love this movie and are excited to see it. I was also going to make a fire in the fireplace but it’s so warm here right now I’ll have to put the air conditioning on if I do! Costco was insane, it took forever, and the post office was worse. It’s only December 3 but the line at the post office was not to be believed. It was nearly 4:30 when I got home and I had to get all the groceries put away, clean out the fireplace in case we have a fire (this was all after having rushed in to get Pugsley out AFTER cleaning up where he had gone potty in the house in a couple of places) and I had to finish cleaning up the kitchen and get the dish washer running.

Pant, pant, pant…

Noni said she would be here by 6 or before. She is sometimes late but I figured it would be just my luck that today she would be early! I had to get a blog post up before she arrived and I still haven’t answered people who commented last night and I’m so sorry and it may be tomorrow before I do because I really wanted to take a shower before she got here!

Wow, this might just be the most pitiful blog post ever! December is a very busy month for me because I need to try to get hurricane things taken care of before the end of the year in addition to Christmas, all the kids will be in for Christmas which I am looking so forward to but there’s a lot to do. It is the month to get the car inspected, car taxes and property taxes taken care of and I am shaking in my boots trying to figure all of this out. I decided I was going to plunge headlong into it all today, as best I could, and get a good start on things. I am amazed how much I got done but I am exhausted and typing this as fast as I can on my clunky old laptop that doesn’t work well and doesn’t work at all if it’s not kept plugged in and I knocked the plug out after having started this blog post and BAM! lost everything I had written. It’s like that old saying, “The hurrieder I go the behinder I get!” I was going hurrieder and now I’m behinder!

As Noni is spending the night and is going to be here tomorrow until she has to go to her yoga class after lunch time it will be mid-day before I can answer yesterday’s comments and any that come today and I am so sorry. I will answer people, I really love to, but today has been a DAY!

I am sending hugs and blowing kisses to you all. I hope you had a more relaxed day than I did. It was a good day in that I got a lot done that needed doing and so feel a little less stressed but there will be people coming and going here all week giving me estimates about work that needs doing, or doing work, and then I get Pugsley to the vet on Friday. Phew. And the first week of December will be gone!

Tally ho, and away I go! Sorry about this blog post. I just kind of prattled on. Some days are like that! Oh, and this is kind of what today felt like…
