The Days, The Hours, The Moments: Day 76 ~ It Is Time To Celebrate Christmas With Charlie Brown…

This morning I woke up trembly, not really bad, but a little afraid, as I often am. I got up, got sweet Pugsley out and got him his breakfast and medications. I made coffee and settled in at my desk where I am able to be for just a short while in the morning because I mostly need to be here in the Cozy Room with my leg elevated in the recliner. This is where Pugsley and I are now.

I decided that this needed to be a Charlie Brown day. To celebrate Christmas with this old Charlie Brown Christmas classic that I have watched since I was a child is one of the sweetest things in the holidays. To skate with the children on the pond, to dance with the children on the stage (Since I was young the little boy in the orange shirt who dances back and forth hunching up his shoulders tickles me the most and makes me laugh every time I see him again.), to see that tender sweet moment when Charlie Brown finds the pitiful little tree. It breaks your heart, warms your heart, and fills you with joy.

There are a number of Christmas movies that I love but none express the sweet simplicity of the true meaning of Christmas like this beloved classic. Today needs to be a Charlie Brown Christmas day. I’m going to watch it as soon as I put this blog post up. I hope you will watch it too.

May the simple joys of Christmas be yours now and in the coming year…

Comments

  1. May your Christmas be light hearted and filled with joy and love. May Santa be generous. Know that you are loved. God bless you and yours.

  2. I watched the last 15 minutes of it. I had seen it before many years ago but had forgotten its details. Just those 15 minutes made me regret not having watched the show in its entirety. I love this special time of year.

    • Ah Marge it is really wonderful, if you can find a way to rent it to see the whole thing you should! It is one of the sweetest delights of the season!

  3. Happy Solstice dear Maitri, and best wishes for a very happy Christmas. I love Snoopy and Charlie Brown too! Hugs and love to you and little Pugsley. xxx

    • Thank you so much dear Jenny. Happy Solstice and Merry Christmas if you celebrate it. And much much love through the holidays and beyond and always!
