The Experiment: Day 59 ~ It’s A Quiet, Contemplative Day And I Want To Ask You Three Things…

I am watching the fireplace app on my computer (much prettier than this and it pops and crackles) and listening to George Winston’s December album while I write to you…

Between the fire crackling and the beautiful, soulful music of George Winston I am almost lulled to sleep. I sit here at the computer and words seem to be lost in the ethers, so I am just going to let things float to the top of my mind and share them with you. Actually, I think I am going to ask you 3 questions.

I saw this, and what I wanted to ask you was this… If you were given three wishes, right now, only three, but you knew they would absolutely come true, what would you wish for? Tell me in the comments below…

And if you were reminded how fragile life is, how some are only hanging on by a slim thread, who would you be more tender with today? Can you write to them or call them or Skype with them? Each one, reach one…

And if you realized that you were rushing too quickly through your own life, would you slow down?

What gentle changes could you make in your life this week, maybe 3 little things. I’d really like for you to try this, and I’d like you to report back to me here in the comments section below. They may be very small changes, but they will move you forward.

If not, why not? If not now, when?

And I want you to know that you are not alone. I am right here with you. Talk to me.

And I hope you are having a quiet, peaceful day, and if you’re not, what can you do to make it so? Do it now.

I am holding you in my heart, I am sending you so much love, I am wishing you well…

  1. three wishes? well, i’d have to say the first would be peace throughout the world, people who care about each other and mother earth. because that is ALWAYS my wish, and i try to live that wish by modeling it. or should i say I LIVE THAT WISH, not I “try to.”

i would be more tender with my husband because when one is together so many hours a day, day after day, it is oh so easy to get irritated and abrupt. so, thank you, i WILL BE MORE TENDER…

three – i am definitely not rushing thru life. at age 73, that would be foolhardy!

one cup of coffee at a time, one pansy in the ground at a time, one journal entry at a time, one walk in a beautiful place, one hug with a friend, one hot bath while reading a good book, i cherish the many small joys of my life, which aren’t really small.

    so thank you for asking!

    • Oh Katya, that was so beautiful, I loved reading that honey. And YES! to Peace. And oh, dear Tom, please give him a gentle hug for me. And yes, yes, YES~ to moving slowly through life and savoring every moment! One cup of coffee, one pansy, one hug at a time. And truly, I think the things we consider “small” joys might, in the end, have been the most precious things of all…

      I love you dear sister…
